Not being a believer in the usual stuff, I have gotten a few more hits on old favorites on my archival blogs on such old favorites as Dolan, Cordileone and Rigali lately, which makes me wonder what are they up to in real time and real news. A little research and no big news.
I have also noticed that this is like the third or fourth round of Bishop Francis of Rome of appointing new cardinals in Rome. Some no doubt to attrition and some genuinely to pack the college with a lot of non-white, non-European (Asian etc.) lads to be able to vote come next time to replace a pope.
That considering how B16 left a lot of American ABs high dry and nekkid on the nude beach of Roman politics. (...to dangle slowly in the GOP wind?...) And traditional American cities like Philly, Baltimore and San Francisco lacking red hats etc., I am looking forward to the next papal election which I think the present Vatican CEO is looking forward 2 too once B16 goes to his ewige Belohnung and a vacancy on a certain retirement cottage in the Vatican gardens becomes available. There is no going back to BA I would think.
But the overall effect of a African or an Asian pope will have its greatest impact on the good people of the RC persuasion in the USA who saw blood when then elected Obama as POTUS.
And with a non-white pope, as they say in Spanish w/ an old standard cold dish saying - a rough translation - ellos tendrán diarrea - "they will have diarrhea."
