Socialist Bill Donohue over at the Catholic League is a having
hissy fit regarding his rethug request through the NYC token GOP congressman to
demand a freebie from capitalists for his friend, mentor and probable paymaster
Tim Dolan.
Seems Donohue, anticipating a requested “Catholic Commissar
of New York City” title under a Romney Santorum theocracy after the 2012
election, demanded that the owners of the Empire State Building spend thousands
of dollars in electricity to illuminate the ESB the color Red in honor of Dolan’s
crony promotion to cardinal in the Vatican.

The building management's policy is to illuminate on major local
religious holidays but no individual religious figures. Only exception to that are the green lights
on St. Patrick’s day. St Patrick is more
myth than anybody real and a draw to all the regional tri-state drunks on March 17 and
good for business. Though I think pink
on St Patrick’s day might be a better color considering the church’s aversion
and or denial to all things sexual in real time on that one holiday.
The building has a pending IPO in which the church can buy
the building as an investment.
